Classical Night In
Spend a relaxing evening in and be serenaded with your own private concert from two of Portland's finest musicians, Megan Macantire and Sarah Morneau. Megan and Sarah began playing together fifteen years ago and have studied music in South America and Europe. Neighbors on Munjoy Hill in Portland, they play country blues and old time music in a string band on the city's waterfront. As a duet, their repertoire includes classical chamber music, Appalachian roots, and Irish waltzes. $250

Local Drama
The Pomegranate Inn celebrates its dramatic side with our Local Drama package, which includes two tickets for the Portland Stage Company. The Portland Stage Company, located just twelve blocks from the Inn, is Maine’s largest fully professional, non-profit theatre and is committed to providing the finest productions for audiences in Northern New England. Founded in 1974 as the Profile Theater, the Portland Stage Company auditions both locally and in New York, and then brings the actors, directors, designers, and technicians together in Portland to produce shows created specifically for local audiences. $25 package fee, ticket prices vary depending on availability and seating.

Looking for Art
Join us in supporting the local arts community during your stay at the Pomegranate Inn. The Inn is located just five blocks from the Arts District, which is home to more than 30 galleries on Congress Street and the Portland Museum of Art in Congress Square.

The Portland Museum of Art contains more than 18,000 fine and decorative works dating from the 18th century to the present, including paintings, sculpture, prints, photography, glass and ceramics, artists' books, furniture, and much more. Works by artists such as Frederic Church, Marsden Hartley, Winslow Homer, Rockwell Kent, John Singer Sargent and Andrew Wyeth showcase the unique artistic heritage of the United States and Maine.

The Cygnet Gallery represents Maine artists working in many styles from contemporary realism in oils and acrylics to abstract watercolors, as well as fine art furniture and metal sculpture. Cygneture artists include Annereland, Guy Corriero, Corinne Carbone, Tim Gaydos, Diana Roper McDowell, R. Scott Baltz, Edgar Reims, Dennis Rafferty, Opus One and Rusted Puffin Metalworks.

This package includes a Portland walking map, Portland Arts Guide, and admission for two to the Portland Museum of Art. $35

 

A Night at the Symphony
Celebrate your love for the classics with a night at the symphony. The Portland Symphony Orchestra is known for its outstanding performances in several verities such as the pop concert series and the classical series. The orchestra is comprised of 82 professional musicians, half of them residing in Maine and half coming from the Boston area, New Hampshire and Vermont. The Merrill Auditorium, home to the Symphony, is a 1900-seat venue in the Arts District that has established itself as one of New England’s finest performing arts centers. This package focuses on the Classical Series concerts, featured on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. $25 package fee, ticket prices vary depending on availability and seating.

Deep Relaxation
After a full day of exploring the city, or before a night out on the town, nothing will help you relax like the soothing services of massage therapist Katie Dott. We can arrange for Katie to meet you at the Inn, or you may choose to take a short trip to Satori Salon and Spa, located in the Old Port, which is an easy five-minute drive away.

Since completing her training in 2002 at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Katie has traveled the country working as a massage therapist. Although she specializes in deep tissue massage, she is happy to provide custom treatments. $80 (one massage therapy session at Satori) or $90 (one massage therapy session at the Pomegranate)
